Due to the COVID-19 pandemic 2022 Governing Body Meetings will be conducted in-person and virtually via the Zoom meeting application until further notice. Zoom meeting application details will be distributed by the City Clerk’s office on the day of each meeting. Meeting will be held on the first, three (3) Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 p.m.

To assist in its consideration of new district boundary lines, the Commission, once established, shall hold a public hearing meeting to receive the comments and input of interested citizens.

- PUBLIC HEARING PROCESS:
Written comments can be submitted via email to cclerk@topeka.org. Comments may also be delivered in-person or mailed to the Office of the City Clerk located at 215 SE 8th Street, Room 166, Topeka, Kansas, 66603. All written comments will be distributed to Commission members.
In-Person Comments. In-person comments will be considered at the public hearing on Thursday, August 18 at 5 p.m. at the Holliday Building. Individuals may appear in person or by Zoom. If appearing by Zoom, the individual must notify the City Clerk by 4 p.m. on August 18 so that communications staff can be notified to provide the Zoom link.
Comments shall be limited to 4 minutes. If the person requests additional time, one extension may be granted by the chairperson, not to exceed 2 minutes. Each person shall step up to the microphone and shall state his or her name for the record. All remarks shall be addressed to the Commission as a whole and not to any individual member.
